These kinds of apartments typically consist of one large room which serves as the living, dining, and bedroom. The studio apartment is an apartment with a single room. They are also known as single-room dwelling places or studio flats. This studio apartment was designed as a builder show flat in Gurgaon. The apartment was only 275 sqft built up area, thus not much space for extra bulky furniture. We with minimalistic furniture were able to provide the studio apartment with all functional products without tampering with the aesthetics.
The apartment had a queen sized wallbed with a sofa and lounger with storage. So one can use the sofa during the day making it a living room area, move the cushions to make way for the bed at night. Wardrobes on either sides with overhead loft storage on two walls made enough storage space for the apartment.
Our iconic fika coffee table serves as a centre table and a work desk using the openable flap, eliminating the need of a study table. The TV unit was simple, TV rested on a wallpaper with shutters, drawers and open shelves below. Adjoining the TV unit is the dining unit which has a foldable flap that can be used as a dining table when needed and serves as a crockery unit otherwise.
The kitchen was small and compact and had built in appliances. The kitchen had a sink, hob and overhead storage and profile shutters on top and drawers and pullouts at the bottom and an exhaust since there was no ventilation. The apartment had sufficient LED light to keep it well lit since there was only one small window in the kitchen.
